Pedal the Cause

This year, I’m riding in Pedal the Cause for a reason that is deeply personal to me.

My dad, David, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in October 2025. Since then, our family has spent months navigating hospital stays, treatment, and a lot of uncertainty. In mid-April, he was finally able to come home after his stem cell transplant. It was a big milestone, but the journey is not over. His treatment and maintenance continue.

Throughout all of this, the team at Siteman Cancer Center has been incredible. The level of care from the doctors, nurses, and staff has been outstanding. The attention and commitment they have shown to my dad specifically has meant a great deal to our family.

That is why I am riding.

Pedal the Cause directly funds cancer research at Siteman, helping accelerate better treatments and outcomes for patients like my dad. Supporting this cause is my way of taking something difficult and turning it into action that can help others.
