Pedal the Cause

With Pedal the Cause quickly approaching, I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how cancer has touched my life in ways I never imagined. I’ve watched my dad, my father-in-law, my brother, multiple brothers-in-law, and some of my closest friends go through the hardest battles you can imagine. The pain, the treatments, the uncertainty. It’s been incredibly hard to witness, and there’s this feeling of helplessness that comes with it.. watching someone you love go through something so brutal and knowing there’s only so much you can do.

But here’s the thing: I’ve realized that we don’t have to feel helpless. We can make a difference.

This year, I’m riding in Pedal the Cause, an event that directly supports cancer research and treatment. Every dollar raised goes 100% to funding the kind of life-saving research and innovative treatments that can help change lives, offer more hope, and save more people from what feels like an inevitable loss.

I’m riding for my dad, my father-in-law, my brother, my brothers-in-law, and all the friends who’ve fought this disease with so much strength. I’m riding for their families, who stand by them, feeling the pain but also the love that never fades. And I’m riding for every person still fighting today, and every person who will fight tomorrow.
