Pedal the Cause

I have been an avid cyclist for over 40 years, and this will be my second year riding in Pedal the Cause.

I ride in memory of my beloved wife, Jan, who passed away at the end of February 2023 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. We were blessed with 49½ years together—just two months shy of our 43rd wedding anniversary.

Jan was the love of my life. A devoted mother, grandmother, and a friend to so many.

Last year, I set out to raise $1,000. Through the incredible generosity of family, friends, and colleagues, we raised $3,000. I am deeply grateful to everyone who made that possible.

This year, my goal is to meet -- and hopefully exceed -- that $3,000. More importantly, I’m continuing something deeply personal—honoring Jan’s memory by helping others in the fight against cancer.
