Pedal the Cause

Hi! My name is Carol Robinson, and in 2019, at just 34 years old, my life was flipped upside down when I was diagnosed with oligometastatic breast cancer.

I am forever grateful for the world-class care I have received — and continue to receive — from Siteman Cancer Center. Because of that incredible care, I am HERE. I’m here to make more memories with my husband, my kids, my family, and my friends. I’m here to celebrate my 42nd birthday and SEVEN years of survivorship — moments I never take for granted.

2026 marks my 6th year riding and fundraising for Pedal The Cause. The research supported by PTC has played a critical role in advancing treatments and saving lives — including mine and so many others. 100% of every dollar donated (yes, every single penny!) goes directly toward life-saving cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at Children’s Hospital.

This year’s ride carries even more meaning for me. While I am incredibly grateful to be here and continuing my journey, this year has also been a difficult reminder of how much cancer impacts the people we love. My dad is courageously fighting his own cancer battle, and a very close friend is also facing this devastating disease. Watching the people I love navigate their own cancer journeys has only strengthened my determination to keep fighting, keep riding, and keep supporting the research that gives hope to so many.

This year, my goal is to raise $2,500 and earn the yellow jersey for the second year in a row. Cancer is relentless… but so am I. 💪

I’m determined to keep sharing my story, raise awareness, and do my part to help create a future where fewer families have to hear the words “you have cancer.”
