Pedal the Cause

I do love cycling. Of course that's part of why I ride. 

At age 50, my mom suddenly became ill and was taken to the hospital for testing.  It very quickly escalated, and we found out she had stage 4 colon cancer.  It was an awful journey, but we were fortunate to have another 15 months with her before the cancer took her life. Thanks to modern medicine, colon cancer can be screened and treated early. Screening saves lives. I want everyone to have access to preventative screening for all kinds of cancer.

We all have personal examples where cancer has impacted our lives. I can think of countless others around me who have been directly impacted.  Together, we can work to create a world where every story has a happy, cancer-free ending.
