Pedal the Cause

I’m riding for Scott’s Team and MLC Team.  I have been riding for Pedal The Cause for 16 years.  I was invited by my best friend, Scott Kleinman, while he was fighting brain cancer.  He lost his battle in 2014.  My father-n-law, Bill Modrosic,  lost his battle stomach cancer in 2024, and I fought Cancer twice. 

We all know someone that has been affected by cancer: We have aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, immediate family, best friends, and me.  

On July 3rd, 2024, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 (3+4) Prostate Cancer.  The doctors have been monitoring enlarged prostate for 14 years, and I unfortunately got a positive biopsy. After reviewing my treatment options, I had my prostate removed on 11/11/2024.  With regular PSA tests, they were able to catch it early.  

In May 2025, I was getting a skin cancer review, and they found a small basal cell cancer growth along my hairline.  They removed it with a simple Mohs surgery.  Now I'm cancer free twice.  

These preventive tests are easy and need to be done.  It's so much easier to treat and defeat cancer at an early stage.  Get out and get it done NOW!
