Miles for Drew – Pedal the Cause in St. Louis

This year, Chase, who is 12 years old, is riding 10 miles in the Pedal the Cause bike ride to raise money for Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids. He is riding in memory of his classmate and friend, Drew Patchin.

Drew was only 6½ years old when he was diagnosed with Anaplastic Ependymoma, a childhood brain tumor. For more than six years, he faced his cancer journey with remarkable strength, grace, and resilience. Though his life was cut short at 12 years old, Drew will always be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, and his ability to make others feel seen and cared for.

Through Pedal the Cause, Chase wants to honor Drew’s life and legacy while helping other children and families facing cancer. All funds raised support cancer research, treatment, and pediatric programs at Siteman and Siteman Kids, directly impacting families across St. Louis.
