Pedal the Cause

I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. This will be my fourth year riding for the Edward Jones Team and completing the Metric Century (62 miles) on September 21.

This year I will be riding in honor of my friend, Joe Miller, who was diagnosed with Stage 1 prostate cancer in the summer of 2024. Joe is actively working with a team at the Siteman Cancer Center at BJC Hospital in St. Louis to monitor this slow growing cancer with regular blood tests and an annual biopsy.

Despite this setback, Joe is just as competitive and determined to live a long and healthy life as he was when I first met him in graduate school 30+ years ago. He also decided to ride with me this year for Pedal the Cause with the rest of the Edward Jones Team.  We have been training together this summer.
