As a pathology resident, I see first-hand the prevalence of cancer. Every day, innumerable patients are diagnosed, treated, surveilled, or screened for cancer. Approximately 1 in 3 people will be diagnosed with cancer throughout their lifetime. Each diagnosis affects not only the patient but their entire family and support team. There are countless research pathways that could enable important discoveries to alter the course of these serious diagnoses.
