Pedal the Cause

My name is Nicole Musello, and I’m proud to ride in Pedal the Cause—not just as a cyclist, but as a lifelong caregiver, a mother, a daughter, and a woman committed to healing in every form.

For over a decade, I’ve worked in healthcare—often standing alongside patients and families in their most vulnerable moments. I’ve held the hands of those facing organ transplants, chronic illness, and yes, cancer. In those moments, I’ve seen not just the fragility of life—but the fierce, unwavering will to fight for it. That’s the spirit I carry into this ride.

I ride for healing.

For others. For myself.

For the future we can build.

This ride is also deeply personal. I ride in memory of the many loved ones cancer has taken from my family and my husband Damian’s family. Between us, we’ve lost:

Catherine Candida Cantalupo (36) – metastatic breast cancer
Christopher Musello Sr. (78) – leukemia
Agnes Moffitt (76) – lung cancer
Eleazer Deming Williams (78) – lung cancer
Eleazer Deming Williams Jr. (~80) – glioastrocytoma
And at least four of my own dear relatives, each one cherished, each one missed.

Fitness has not always been an easy journey for me—but I’m choosing to ride this year as a step forward in my own wellness. A declaration that healing isn’t just something I help others achieve—it’s something I believe I deserve too.
