Pedal the Cause

I am proud to participate in my 16th year doing Pedal the Cause. Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer. Until this year, I was riding for others: in memory of loved ones lost to cancer, in honor of those who are surviving their fight, and in hopes for more successful treatments and cures for the future. But now, I have been diagnosed myself with pancreatic cancer.

So this year is special. We'll have to see when ride day comes whether my chemotherapy side effects end up side-lining my ride. Either way I am just as committed to my fund-raising goal.

If you would like to participate in this wonderful biking event, let me know. I can get you started. If you care to donate, please don't feel obligated to give a large amount. Even a modest donation means a great deal to me because you too are showing you dream of a world without cancer. And if you just want to see what's so special about Pedal the Cause, you can come down on the evening before we ride and see their inspriational program. Or come down on Ride Day and cheer the many waves of bikers as they depart on their various length routes. It's quite a sight!
