Pedal the Cause

First, I am riding in memory of my dad, John W.  Before passing away from lymphoma in 2015, he was incredibly passionate about cycling and supporting this event.  He lived every year after his diagnosis to the absolute fullest, even in his toughest moments. This year, I’m taking over the handlebars to continue his fight.

I am also proud to join the Johnson family team riding in honor of their husband and dad, David, a special friend and client of mine who recently passed away from leukemia.  We are riding together to celebrate David’s life, support his family, and turn all of our grief into fuel for a cure. “HOF 09”

My theme for this ride is simply “Just Be”.  To me, it means choosing to just be happy, just be active, and just be grateful for every healthy day we are given.

Pedal the Cause is hope, community and the region’s most impactful movement to end cancer. I am proud to participate and to play a part in funding groundbreaking research at our local, top-ranked institutions that is changing the way we treat and cure cancers.
