My Why

This is my 11th year with Pedal the Cause and I am proud to continue the fight against cancer with this amazing organization. Pedal the Cause is a way of life, a celebration, and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.

I ride for Walter Bass with Team Illumina StL #livelikewalter.  He was the heart and soul of our Illumina PTC team and we miss him terribly.  I also ride for my parents. I lost my dad to lung cancer 15 years ago, but my mom won her breast cancer battle 24 years ago!  

There are so many other important people that I ride for including Laura Smith, Julie McDougel, LaMalva Keithly, Anne Koth, Karen Altes, and Mary Fulbright who have all beat cancer!  We also ride for those that are fighting right now and dear friends like Marla Miller and Andrea Dressel who lost their fight.

It takes world-class research to create a world without cancer. Please help me in this journey by donating to my ride, and give with confidence knowing that 100% of your donation will go directly to accelerating cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children's Hospital.
