Pedal the Cause

Once again, I’m joining the fight against cancer by participating in the Pedal the Cause bike challenge on September 19. This marks my 12th year of raising critical funds for cancer research. I ride with one goal: to help find a cure.

In 2013, I was diagnosed with Stage IV ovarian cancer. It was a scary time—but I was one of the lucky ones. Since then, I’ve witnessed far too many family members and friends face life-altering cancer diagnoses. And I know that every person reading this letter has been touched by cancer in some way. I ride for all of them. Research is the key. It’s what gave me access to incredible doctors, breakthrough treatments, and the chance to keep living. But there’s still so much more to discover—and research is expensive. That’s why I ride, and that’s why I’m writing to you today.
