Pedal the Cause

Hello all!

This September I’m riding in Pedal the Cause, an event centered around raising money for cancer research through a series of bike rides.
In my first year participating, I’m aiming to complete a 21-mile ride. I’ve always enjoyed biking, it’s a great way to get outside and enjoy the fresh air, but this ride carries a much deeper meaning. Cancer has touched nearly every part of my life. I’ve had family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers all impacted. I’ve seen people fight incredibly difficult battles, some have won, and sadly, some have not.

In my own family, I’ve lost my grandfather, my aunt, and my uncle to cancer. I’ve also witnessed what survival looks like, with several people close to me beating this disease.

This ride is for all of them, 
the people we’ve lost,
the ones still fighting,
and the survivors who inspire hope.

One of the most meaningful parts of Pedal the Cause is that 100% of every dollar raised goes directly to cancer research supporting real progress, better treatments, and hope for the future.
