Pedal the Cause

I ride for many family and friends who have been impacted by cancer.

At the forefront of these, I ride in memory of my brother Dave, who lost his battle with prostate cancer on March 15, 2019. Although it's been 6 years since we lost him, his memory is still alive in all that knew him.  Dave was an inspiration to everyone around him. He had a positive attitude, a strong faith, and fought this battle hard for 7 years.

This year, my niece, Tonya Hopper, was diagnosed with breast cancer, and is currently undergoing chemo. I ride in her honor for fighting so hard and kicking cancer in the ass. 

I ride in memory of Tara Boland, who lost her battle to breast cancer 11 years ago, but she gave cancer a run for the money. She kept her positive attitude and amazing attitude throughout the whole process.

I ride for those out there, like myself and my niece, Kristina, who have found out that they have genetic mutations that predispose them to extremely high risks of acquiring cancer, and who now must make choices for proactive treatments. 

My family, friends and I are proud to ride in honor and memory of these people at this year's Pedal. Please join us in supporting this amazing event that will help bring cures for all different types of cancer.
