Pedal the Cause

Even though last year’s event was rained out, I was able to complete my ride. It felt important to finish while at that exact moment my grandpa was on hospice fighting his cancer. The weeks that followed were rough of course, but the power of family & community during that time was more impactful than I could have imagined. We lost gramps last November, so this year I have to move his name over with my Grandma Kay & Cousin Shannon as a person I am riding in memory of, but there are so many still fighting. The importance of community, family, & support are the reasons I will be riding again this year.

Pedal the Cause is hope, community and the region’s most impactful movement to end cancer. I am proud to participate and to play a part in funding groundbreaking research at our local, top-ranked institutions that is changing the way we treat and cure cancers.
