Pedal the Cause

I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's a way of life, a celebration, a family and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.

I'm riding because cancer has affected my family: my wife my mother, my father, my aunt, my father-in-law, my wife's niece, her stepmother... and too many friends and colleagues.

PTC has special meaning. In August of 2023 Lois was diagnosed with breast cancer. At this year's event she will be celebrating one year since the completion of her treatment. PTC research informed treatments that resulted in Lois’ positive outcome. However, there is more work to be done. My United By Design team rides to celebrate the memory of our 2023 PTC captain Troy Guzman. Recently the husband of another friend passed away from pancreatic cancer. I ride to support all who are undergoing cancer treatment and in memory of family members and friends lost due to cancer.
