Pedal the Cause

It's that time of year and registration have started.  This will be my ninth-year riding and as long as I can physically get on a bike and ride because I will do my part for a solution to find a cure for this horrible disease.  Every cent brought in from donations go to research funding to Siteman Cancer Center.

This year I will again be riding with my daughter in memory of my father and neighbor Nick Porter and in honor of my dear friend Erin who is KICKING CANCERS ASS!!!  We also ride for all other people inflicted with this horrible disease!!!  

Last year was the first year I watched their Inspirational Program and was blown away by the people walking in who were going through treatment and those in remission.  Their strength and courage and seeing their smiling faces, brought tears to my eyes.  Knowing a large number of them were and had benefitted for the donations brought in be Pedal the Cause is the reason I put my old and out of shape body on a bike to try and do my part!
